Soroptimist International of Pasadena has been actively assisting the community of Pasadena, Texas for over 50 years.

 

Soroptimist International of Pasadena, Texas is a local level club in District III of the South Central Region of Soroptimist International of the Americas, a division of Soroptimist International.

Celebrating 50 years of community service

 

The club was granted its charter on November 10th, 1956 and recently celebrated 50 years of service in the Pasadena, Texas area.

 

We service not only the Pasadena area but support women's organizations through out the Southeast Metropolitan Area of Greater Houston, including many communities in the Harris, Galveston, Chambers and Brazoria Counties.

 

Ruth Slovak is honored as only charter member

The club's 50th year celebration was held on the Patio at Mamacita's Mexican Restaurant on Nasa Road One in League City On November 11, 2007. Invited guests included past members, representatives of the organizations the club has worked with through the years, and city officials.

During the evening the club honored Ruth Slovak who is the only charter member on the current club roster.

Sherry Trainer is honored for her efforts toward the Annual Rose Gala

Sherry Trainer of the Pasadena Chamber of Commerce was also honored for her many years of dedication to the Soroptimists International of Pasadena Annual Rose Gala. The continued success of this event is largely attributed to her efforts.

The club used the opportunity to present a rather large check to The Rose, the result of this year's gala.
